That day I felt like I was about to explode.
Deadlines, unanswered messages, family expectations, and negative thoughts were all swirling around in my head.
I sat on the bed, my heart racing, my hands cold.
Instead of opening my phone as usual, I tried something simple:
I set a 5-minute timer.
I close my eyes.
I inhale slowly for 4 seconds.
Hold for 4 seconds.
Exhale for 6 seconds.
At first, my mind was still racing. But by the third minute, things started to slow down. Not that the problems disappeared. But I no longer felt overwhelmed by them.
Those five minutes won't solve anything in my life.
But they helped me stand a little stronger.
Sometimes, reducing stress isn't about running away from everything.
It's simply about giving yourself 5 minutes… to breathe. 🌿
