I’ve been growing basil at home and recently learned that the way you harvest it can make a big difference in how well the plant keeps growing. I usually harvest from the top and cut just above a leaf node, which encourages the plant to become bushier and produce more leaves.
It’s also a good idea to remove flower buds regularly if you want to keep harvesting fresh basil throughout the season.
