It is expected that a resort and casino complex (pictured) will be built in Binh Dinh Province in south-central Vietnam.
In a document submitted to Prime Minister Pham Ming Tinh recently, the Binh Dinh People's Committee said, "In July of last year, SJM Holdings submitted a letter of intent to develop a commercial complex including resorts, casinos and finance with an investment of US$ 6 billion.
The Provincial People's Committee decided to create a 'working group' to carry out SJM Holdings' proposal and start the project in earnest.
SJM Holdings is a casino and entertainment conglomerate that owns and operates 19 casinos and comprehensive entertainment resorts in Macau alone.
The People's Committee of Binh Dinh Province expects that if SJM Holdings develops a casino and resort commercial complex in Quy Nhon, at least 3,000 to as many as 4,000 jobs will be created.
