According to a representative of the Vietnam Road Administration, in the past time, the Department has been entrusted by the Ministry of Transport with the task of preparing for investment, managing and implementing a number of projects related to road asset management. In Vietnam, these are the construction of bridges for people's livelihood and local property management, the project of 45 bridges in the Central and Central Highlands, and the repair project of Thang Long Bridge.

These projects have been implemented by the Road Administration of Vietnam from the stage of investment preparation, project formulation and construction management until handing over and putting into use. The quality and progress of these projects have also been highly appreciated by donors such as the World Bank and JICA.

The Road Administration of Vietnam said that the projects built in the medium-term public investment plan for the 2021-2025 period have been completed and approved for investment by the Ministry of Transport, including renovating and upgrading Highway 31, section Km2400 - Km44. +900 in Bac Giang province, upgrading NH7 and renovating NH14E. Among these, the project to renovate and upgrade National Highway 31 is the first project approved and started by the Ministry of Transport. This project is expected to be completed in 2023, 1 year earlier than planned.

Currently, the Ministry of Transport is focusing heavily on implementing highway construction projects and a number of key projects in medium-term public investment in the 2021-2025 period with a particularly large workload. The milestones of these projects are approaching, while the Government is also directing to focus on proposing and implementing investment for a number of transport infrastructure development projects.

The Department of Roads of Vietnam proposes the above projects with the desire to contribute to the completion of the common tasks of the sector.
