After laser skin resurfacing, it’s normal to experience mild to severe sunburn-like reactions, including redness, swelling, itching, and stinging. In more severe cases, you may notice raw, oozing skin with crust formation.

Peeling and Rejuvenation
Skin typically begins to peel 5–7 days post-treatment, revealing pink, rejuvenated skin that will gradually lighten over the next 2–3 months.

Essential Post-Treatment Care
To ensure optimal recovery, clean treated areas 2–5 times a day with saline or diluted vinegar solution. Apply recommended protective skincare products, and always use sunscreen for sensitive skin. Moisturizing as directed by your doctor will aid in healing.

When to Resume Skincare Products
You can generally reintroduce Retin-A or glycolic acid products around six weeks post-treatment, or as advised by your doctor.

Recovery Time

  • CO2 laser resurfacing: Up to two weeks
  • Erbium laser resurfacing: Approximately one week
Tips for Easier Recovery
Elevate your head while sleeping to minimize swelling, and use ice packs in the first 1–2 days for comfort. Avoid smoking to prevent delayed healing.

Camouflaging Redness
Consider using green-based, oil-free makeup to neutralize any redness during your recovery.

Stay informed and follow care guidelines for the best results!
