The uniform symbolizes the solidarity and union of a school, explaining why this kind of clothing is required to be worn regularly in some high schools. Meanwhile, some permit students to decide what to wear to school. These two policies, in my opinion, none is supposed to be inferior or superior compared to other, both have its benefits and drawbacks, which will be expressed by the following factors.
First of all, as mentioned above, the uniform is somewhat shows the union and the soul of a school. Therefore, it is reasonable to require students to put on the clothing when going to school. In addition, the uniform brings about the equality among students due to its affordable price, no one is distinguished from others because they all dress a type of clothing, hence all are in a same class, there is no difference between wealthy and poor.
On the other hand, despite that the uniform can create positive influences at school, the influences are just comprehensive afterward. Students merely cannot express their personality and characteristic if they all the time put on the same dress. No matter how positive the effects are brought about, the benefits would probably turn out to be drawbacks if the students are required to wear it too often.
In conclusion, I personally consent to the two policies, they both produce benefit but drawback as well. Therefore, a combination between two things should be sensible. Instead of wearing the uniform regularly, students should just be required to use it for a few days per week. This will helps balance the frequency between the uniform and other clothes, consequently advance the advantage and diminish the downside.
