Nowadays, most students take extra classes. Do you think this is a good idea? Or would it be better for students to invest all that time in self-study?
To date, remedial classes are gaining popularity among the students. Although some people say that it is useful for learners, I am inclined to believe that self-learning plays an indispensable educational role.
For one, extra classes can have a lack of applicability to real-life as when partaking in this class, students will be provided with heavily theoretical knowledge to serve the examination purpose. Rather, the youngsters should furnish themselves with soft skills such as leadership skills, teamwork, etc. Moreover, taking too much extra tuition can make students stressed. For instance, to get extensive achievement, parents tend to place a heavy burden on the progeny. Therefore, they do not have enough time for entertainment.
Furthermore, it is irrefutable that self-study lays a solid foundation for the learning results. Firstly, students can seek diverse solutions to a variety of obstacles without help from their tutors. For instance, when having trouble in a Maths task, with a plethora of information on the Internet, they can work out the answer unchallengingly. For this reason, self-educated can have a fresh impetus to ignite their pure creativity, which will give rise to an abundance of ingenious ideas and fruitful innovations. Secondly, learners who study on their own can learn proactively whenever they want, thus they can contribute more time to social activities and enhance their soft skills.
In conclusion, I am firmly of the opinion that various benefits are associated with the act of self-learning. While supplementary classes sometimes put a strain on the pupils, self- study is a stress-free and practical method that has a tremendous meritorious impact on their studying.
