Phải nói là rất hữu ích cho người học lập trình bằng Visual Studio 6. Trong cửa sổ code, bạn chỉ cần gõ từ khóa hoặc một phần từ khóa (Ví dụ: #include, #incl, If, while...) , rồi nhấn F1, lập thức thư viện sẽ tự động tìm và đưa ra các diễn giải, ý nghĩa, cấu trúc... của từ khóa đó. Thỏa sức tìm hiểu !
MSDN đã được Microsoft cho download miễn phí! Bạn không cần phải mất bất kỳ chi phí nào cho việc download nó.
Vậy MSDN là gì?
Có thể nói nôm na MSDN là một tài liệu về cú pháp, hàm, thuật toán...vv nói chung là hỗ trợ lập trình trong môi trường Windows với Microsoft Visual Studio. Có thể gọi nó là thư viện trợ giúp cho Microsoft Visual Studio.
Nếu bạn cài Microsoft Visual Studio mà không cài MSDN thì khi mở các chương trình trong bộ Visual Studio chẳng hạng như Microsoft Visual Studio C++ thì khi nhấn F1 hay lệnh menu help sẽ chẳng có tệp help nào chạy ra cả!!!!
Đặt biệt để sử dụng được bộ tài liệu này trình độ tiếng Anh của bản phải rất cao đấy!!!
Trong đó nó sẽ hỗ trợ cho bạn rất nhiều khi lập trình trong môi trường Visual Studio. Có lẽ để thành lập trình viên tôi phải học thêm anh văn nhỉ???
Xin lưu ý với các bạn ngôn ngữ lập trình khác với môi trường lập trình. Một số bạn cứ to mồm rằng "Ta đây học lập trình Visual C++" hay "Turbo C++" chẳng hạng, đó là những thứ có thế gói gọn rằng sai lầm từ căng bản. C++ là một ngôn ngữ lập trình, còn Visual C++ hay Turbo C++ chỉ đơn giản là trình biên dịch hay môi trường phát triển hoặc lập trình trong đó nó có các chuẩn riêng biệt, ví dụ Visual C++ có thêm các chuẩn để lập trình trên Windows. Nên có ai học cấp 3 nên cẩn thận, ngôn ngữ Pascal chứ không phải Turbo pascal, Trình biên dịch Turbo Pascal chứ không phải ngôn ngữ Turbo Pascal đấy nha! Dùng thuật ngữ cho cẩn thận.

MSDN Library is a library of official technical documentation content intended for developers developing for Microsoft Windows. MSDN stands for the Microsoft Developer Network. The MSDN Library documents the APIs that ship with Microsoft products and also includes sample code, technical articles, and other programming information. It is available free on the web and on CDs and DVDs for paid MSDN subscribers. Initially, the disc version was only available as part of an MSDN subscription and was released on a quarterly basis (January, April, July and October). However, in recent times (2006 and later), it can be freely downloaded from the Microsoft Download Center in the form of ISO images and the CD/DVD releases are no longer published quarterly. Instead, its release schedule is now aligned with major software releases (major Visual Studio release, major Windows release or service packs).
